Ms. Koss specializes in litigation support, business valuation and forensic accounting services. Her knowledge and experience in litigation support includes expert witness testimony involving the quantification of economic damages in breach of contract, shareholder disputes, employment and product recall and warranty matters, among others. She has also performed numerous business valuations utilized in estate tax resolution, marital dissolution, and merger and acquisition transactions. Additionally, Ms. Koss has prepared complex financial analyses utilized in business turnarounds and bank workout assignments for clients.
Prior to joining Province, Ms. Koss served as a Divisional Controller at SER Solutions, Inc., a $100 million software company. At SER Solutions, Inc. she supported top management in formulating solutions to complex financial problems faced by the company. Her responsibilities included management of the daily accounting and operational functions of the company. Additionally, Ms. Koss has worked in the automotive industry and public accounting industry.
Ms. Koss served as a member of the international accounting team at Stellantis (formerly Chrysler Corporation). There, she initiated cost-cutting and profit-enhancement strategies for the multi-national corporation. She has also worked in the public accounting industry providing auditing and consulting services.
Ms. Koss holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, with departmental honors, from Oakland University and is licensed by the State of Michigan as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She is accredited by the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts (NACVA) as a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) and has been awarded the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) and the Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF) credentials by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Ms. Koss is a board member of Oakland University’s Accounting and Finance Advisory Board. She is also a member of Oakland University’s School of Business Strategic Planning Committee and an advisory member of the Career and Technical Education Team for Rochester Community Schools. She is a current member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), AICPA and NACVA. She is also a member of the Finance Committee for the MICPA.
In 2018, Ms. Koss was a recipient of Crain’s Detroit Business’ Notable Women in Finance Award. She is also a frequent judge for the M&A Advisor awards. Ms. Koss was named one of the Top Women in Asset-Based Lending as a Strategic Advisor for the ABF Journal in the first quarter of 2021. She was recognized by DBusiness Magazine as a member of the 2021 Class of Powered by Women. Ms. Koss also received the 2021 Experienced Leader of the Women to Watch Award by the AICPA and MICPA.
