Mr. Chulumovich is an accomplished finance leader focused on strategic and operations planning, executing against financial goals, business analysis and financial reporting, process improvement, and financial services. His breadth of industry experience includes manufacturing, logistics, supply chain, leasing, and real estate. He is experienced at working for private equity and in both large public and high growth privately held companies and has expertise in international companies (UK, MX, AUS, CA), working capital management, financial analysis, strategic planning; turnaround/profitability improvement initiatives, management of operating budget and forecast planning cycles. He is an innovative problem-solver utilizing data analysis and business process development and standardization to optimize efficiencies and deliver cost effective solutions within complex business and reporting structures. Mr. Chulumovich is also the COO of Grow Michigan, a mezzanine fund providing growth capital to the Michigan Small Business Community.
Mr. Chulumovich is a certified turnaround professional and specializes primarily in turnaround, restructuring, litigation support, and forensic accounting. He started his career at Deloitte and worked exclusively with middle market companies. Mr. Chulumovich has been named Receiver for a specialty manufacturing company and has performed receivership duties for various companies across an array of industries. As a Chief Restructuring Officer, he has worked on both formal and informal workouts, and secured creditor restructurings, including Section 363 sales. He has experience in preparing forecasting models for use in turnaround assignments and preparation of reorganization plans. His work experience also includes litigation support services including economic damages analysis in wrongful termination, violation of non-competition agreements, and business interruption claims, as well as the valuation of complex business organizations.
Previously, Mr. Chulumovich was a Consultant with a regional accounting firm where he provided transitional services including process documentation, process improvement, software integration, and staff training. He was also the North American Chief Financial Officer for both CHEP Container and Pooling Solutions, a returnable container management company serving the automotive, industrial, pharmaceutical, and food industries, and CHEP Catalyst Containers, a global returnable container management company servicing the oil and gas industry. Mr. Chulumovich was responsible for a financial shared services business model as well as having responsibility for IT, cash management, M&A and post-merger integration, customer and vendor contract negotiations, commercial support, SAP system implementations, and medium- and long-term strategic planning. Mr. Chulumovich was the Director of Finance for a full service commercial real estate company specializing in urban multi-family properties and also spent a significant part of early career in the tiered automotive supplier space in senior financial positions.
Mr. Chulumovich is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA), the Turnaround Management Association (TMA), Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), and the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI).
