Mr. Thompson joined Province in February 2023. He has experience in mergers & acquisitions, liability management transactions, asset sales and valuation. He has advised on numerous transactions across multiple industries including technology, aerospace, healthcare and retail.
Mr. Thompson works extensively within Province’s UCC practice. His representative experience includes work on the Wesco Aircraft restructuring, where he assisted in evaluating capital structure alternatives and stakeholder recoveries; the Prospect Healthcare chapter 11 proceedings, supporting analyses related to liquidity, operational performance, and proposed sale transactions; and the SunPower restructuring, where he participated in reviewing business plan assumptions, asset‑level economics, and creditor recovery pathways. Across these matters, Mr. Thompson’s role has included financial diligence, preparation of committee reporting materials, and development of restructuring strategies tailored to each debtor’s operational and capital structure profile.
Prior to joining Province, Mr. Thompson began his career at Telos Advisors as an Investment Banking Analyst, where he played a pivotal role in preparing corporate carve outs and mergers and acquisitions targeting the lower middle market. As an undergraduate student at Washington University in St. Louis, Mr. Thompson gained considerable experience in consulting and financial accounting through case competitions and pro bono work for non-profits.
