Eric Uva has more than 20 years of experience as a private equity investor, portfolio company CFO and advisor. He leads finance transformation, performance improvement and transaction readiness engagements for middle-market private equity sponsors and their management teams, serving in both interim CFO and advisory roles.
Eric has served as CFO of multiple private equity-backed companies, with direct responsibility to sponsors, boards and lenders for cash, earnings, forecasts, capital structure, financial reporting and finance-team performance. His work focuses on improving liquidity and working capital, establishing reliable 13-week cash forecasts, strengthening board and lender reporting, integrating acquisitions and preparing companies for exit.
Across more than 30 interim CFO, finance-transformation, M&A-integration and operational-turnaround engagements, Eric has led companies through material changes in performance, liquidity and ownership. He led a $120 million manufacturer in covenant breach from negative $7 million to positive $32 million of EBITDA in eight months through cost reduction, plant consolidation and tighter cash and operating discipline. He directed the finance integration of a $500 million acquisition, validated $32 million in EBITDA synergies and accelerated their realization through standardized reporting and integration governance. For a $200 million industrial platform, he rebuilt FP&A and 13-week cash forecasting and supported a $50 million senior secured refinancing completed within 60 days.
He quickly establishes reliable cash, earnings and forecast visibility, clarifies accountability, and identifies the operating and financial drivers that matter most. He then aligns reporting and execution around those drivers while strengthening the finance team already in place. In founder-led and transitioning businesses, he strengthens the managers already in place and changes what matters without overhauling what works. The objective is a scalable finance function the company can sustain on its own.
Before Province, Eric founded ClearPoint Advisory. He previously led performance improvement, finance transformation and interim management engagements at PwC Strategy& and Alvarez & Marsal. Earlier, he managed a six-company, $1.2 billion private equity portfolio at American Capital and advised on restructurings, M&A and capital-markets transactions at Jefferies.
