Mr. McMahon is a risk management professional with 25+ years of experience. He specializes in risk and insurance related activities & exposures, including placing insurance coverage, collateral recovery and resolutions on a wide portfolio of claim classifications, in and out of bankruptcy. A judicial and intelligent speaker, Mr. McMahon regularly briefs Trustees, boards of directors, chief financial officers and treasury executives on insurance-related engagements and agreements. In one of his greatest professional accomplishments, he participated in a trust that returned over 95% of funds to general unsecured creditors, resulting in the resolution of thousands of claims and successful dissolution of offshore entities.
Mr. McMahon was previously the Director of Risk for a $3 billion publicly traded (NYSE) consumer products manufacturer. He possesses transformational leadership qualifications in strategic risk management; SOX and internal audit committees, collateral & insurance expense reduction, property and casualty insurance placement, broker negotiations; captive & third-party administrator management and claims resolution.
Outside of the office, Mr. McMahon has been a featured speaker at the Association for Financial Professionals, Executive Enterprise Institute, World Captive Forum, Oregon Senate and RIMS on the Hill in Washington, D.C., among others. He is actively involved with FIND Food Bank and the First Tee – Coachella Valley. FIND is the first line of defense against hunger in the Desert Region of California, and the First Tee uses golf to teach core values and character education to youth.
