Mr. Bachu is a Certified Public Accountant and Juris Doctor with a multidisciplinary background in tax consulting, corporate restructuring and financial strategy. He brings a unique blend of accounting precision and legal insight to his work, with experience advising complex tax matters in bankruptcy, M&A and distressed corporate environments. His expertise includes developing IRC §382 base limitation models, analyzing ownership changes and crafting restructuring strategies that maximize tax efficiency.
Prior to joining Province, Mr. Bachu worked as a Tax Consultant in Deloitte’s Turnaround & Restructuring Practice. In this role, he provided tax advisory services to clients undergoing financial distress, corporate reorganizations and chapter 11 proceedings. He routinely prepared tax provision schedules, analyzed tax attributes and collaborated on compliance deliverables across federal, state and local jurisdictions. Mr. Bachu is known for his analytical rigor and ability to bridge communication between legal and accounting teams. He has supported UCC analysis, evaluated debtor-in-possession (DIP) financing structures and advised on intercompany transactions and tax consequences in distressed M&A contexts. Mr. Bachu, a U.S. military veteran, earned his J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law and is currently pursuing a LL.M. in Taxation.
