Andrew De Camara is a Partner and co-founder of the Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors practice at Province. He has over 25 years of experience in the financial restructuring industry, including corporate restructurings, Chapter 11 filings, Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors and Federal and State level Receiverships.
Mr. De Camara has significant experience in the monetization of distressed assets through various sale processes and the proper winddown of distressed entities. Mr. De Camara has assisted companies in fundraising and M&A activities and has arranged for new senior secured and mezzanine financings. Mr. De Camara has successfully restructured hundreds of millions of dollars of debt in a way that provides improved returns for creditors and shareholders while allowing a company to continue operations.
In addition, Mr. De Camara has served as a Receiver in both state and federal courts and has helped maximize asset value through Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors under various state laws. He has also held business development and operational roles, managing global sales teams and implementing forecasting tools that use statistical modeling to optimize purchasing and supply chain flows—providing him with significant experience advising brick-and-mortar businesses.
Mr. De Camara is a frequent panelist and speaker for organizations including the American Bar Association, where he has addressed federal receiverships, and the Special Asset Management Association, where he has spoken on Assignments for the Benefit of Creditors and advisory services. He has also published articles in industry publications, including Directors & Boards magazine.
