Alec Girdler is a Senior Associate at Province. Mr. Girdler is an experienced accounting professional proficient in financial reporting under U.S. GAAP, across a diverse array of industries including banks, business and consumer services, manufacturers and distributors. He has extensive experience in purchase price accounting for private equity portfolio companies, advising clients in the implementation of complex accounting standards, and assisting clients in designing controls to respond to identified weaknesses in internal controls. Mr. Girdler is focused on building client relationships through timely issue resolution and value add service.
Prior to joining Province, Mr. Girdler served as an Assurance Senior at Plante Moran where he gained experience in performing financial statement audits under PCAOB and AICPA standards, as well as SOX 404 internal audits. Mr. Girdler is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is a member of the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA). He is also a member of the Turnaround Management Association (TMA) and Association for Corporate Growth (ACG). Mr. Girdler holds a Master of Science in Accountancy with a concentration in Business Analytics from Xavier University and is a graduate from University of Nebraska - Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
