Garo Khachikian and Hunter Thompson: both promoted to Vice President
“Garo and Hunter have both demonstrated tremendous growth over the past year, stepping into true leadership roles alongside me while helping grow and manage a team across more than 40 cases in 2025. They have been instrumental in helping build and scale our practice and are hungry to continue growing it together. They now operate with the judgment, ownership, and accountability of senior leaders, proactively anticipating issues, driving solutions, and making real-time decisions that protect our clients.
Both Garo and Hunter have spent countless late nights with me, including midnight work sessions, all-nighters, and most weekends throughout the year, preparing client presentations and new pitches under intense timelines. In doing so, they have fully embraced the work ethic that I expect at the highest level and are now instilling that same standard across the entire Los Angeles team. They have earned the trust of clients, counsel, lenders, and committee members, and increasingly serve as the day-to-day face of our most complex and high-stakes engagements.
Beyond execution, both have taken a hands-on role in mentoring and developing junior talent, materially raising the bar for the LA office as a whole and helping institutionalize the culture and standards I expect as the platform continues to scale. I am incredibly proud of how far they’ve come, and this promotion reflects not only their contributions to date, but the roles they will continue to play in shaping the future of our UCC and restructuring practice.” – Paul Navid
Alex Torio: promoted to Senior Associate
“Alex has demonstrated exceptional growth since joining our firm, quickly establishing himself as a trusted and dependable leader on our team. His prior experience managing a family office has translated seamlessly into our work, giving him strong commercial judgment, client awareness, and the ability to see the full picture across complex situations. As a result, Alex has become someone I can consistently rely on to lead client calls, manage workstreams, and represent Province with confidence and professionalism.
Alex makes the right calls, asks the right questions, and is willing to step into a matter to improve it in every way possible. He regularly adds value across the full lifecycle of an engagement, from pitching and client presentations to identifying the right buyers, sharpening strategy, and enhancing the internal databases and tools we rely on to execute at a high level. His initiative, ownership mindset, and willingness to contribute beyond his formal role have made a meaningful impact on both our clients and our team. This promotion is a well-deserved recognition of Alex’s growth, and I’m excited to see him continue to expand his leadership and influence within the firm.” – Paul Navid
Grant Webster: promoted to Associate
“Grant has consistently demonstrated exceptional technical capability, sound judgment, and reliability across some of the firm’s most complex engagements. He played a central role on the Sunnova case, where his deep review of credit agreements, litigation assets, and avoidance actions materially supported case strategy and enabled the team to move decisively under tight timelines. Grant’s strong grasp of bankruptcy and financial concepts, combined with his ability to operate with minimal guidance, allows him to add value quickly on critical workstreams. His performance on the OPI engagement further highlighted his technical rigor and thoughtful execution, establishing him as a key resource in a fast-moving and high-pressure environment. Grant brings a serious, dependable demeanor and an outcome-oriented mindset, consistently putting the needs of the team first. Senior leaders regularly rely on his broad skillset and discretion, and this promotion reflects the trust he has earned and the integral role he plays in driving high-quality execution for our clients.” – Oscar Strieter
