Mr. Dunn is a highly qualified strategic thinker and decision maker with over 20 years of experience as a restructuring advisor, distressed investor and fiduciary in a number of complex in- and out-of-court restructurings, M&A transactions, distressed financings and litigation-oriented investments. As a Principal at Province, Mr. Dunn serves in executive officer roles, as advisor to or member of boards of directors, in ad hoc and official creditors’ committees and as Litigation/Liquidating Trustee, Plan Administrator or Examiner.
Mr. Dunn holds experience in executing principal investments in distressed debt and equity instruments across a diverse range of industries such as energy, gaming, insurance & financial services, media, metals & mining, oil & gas and retail & consumer products. Prior to joining Province, Mr. Dunn’s ideational mind led him to originate and operate Cross Sound Management, a corporate distressed investment firm concentrated in event-driven alternative credit strategy. As Co-Chief Investment Officer for Cross Sound, he formed and chaired numerous official and ad hoc creditors’ committees. Prior to that role, he served as a Senior Investment Professional at Arrowgrass Capital Partners LP and practiced law within the restructuring departments of several Global 200 law firms, where he focused on debtor, official and ad hoc creditors’ committee representations in many notable chapter 11 proceedings.
Outside of the office, David is actively involved with the New Canaan Community Foundation, an organization that enhances the New Canaan, Connecticut community by partnering with local individuals, families and organizations to help them achieve their philanthropic goals.
